Inland Neurosurgery and Spine provides the most comprehensive spinal treatment in the inland northwest, all within one organization. It is our philosophy to treat spinal disorders with optimal non-operative conservative measures before embarking on surgical treatment. Our office manages all aspects of your non-operative spinal issues. This includes development of conservative treatment plans tailored to your specific needs by qualified surgeons and physical medicine and rehabilitation doctors. Our physicians also provide all forms of interventional pain treatments including spinal injections, and chronic pain surgical treatments. Imaging of your brain and spine can be performed in our office.
When you do need surgical treatment our team of orthopedic and neurosurgeons are highly experienced to provide appropriate and sophisticated treatment. We utilize advanced instrumentation and surgical techniques including minimally invasive spinal approaches, and intraoperative CT imaging to provide the highest standard of surgical intervention.
We offer the only pediatric neurosurgical treatment outside Seattle and Portland, fully integrated with the pediatric hospital at Sacred Heart. All areas of pediatric neurosurgery are treated including tumors, shunts, and neural tube defects.
All types of brain tumors are cared for including brain metastasis, low grade and high grade astrocytomas, as well as benign tumors including meningioma, acoustic neuroma, and pituitary tumors. Our operative rooms are equipped with sophisticated computerized brain navigation systems and operative microscopes to bring optimal treatment for these tumors.
Often the treatment for brain tumors is Radiosurgery. The INSA surgeons using the Novalis Linear Accelerator system to target and treat brain tumors, in collaboration with radiation oncology at Sacred Heart Medical Center.
Our neurosurgeons treat most head trauma in the region since they provides emergency neurosurgical services at the only regional level 2 trauma center. They treat surgical and non-surgical head trauma, spinal trauma, spinal cord injury, and provide neuro-critical care in the ICU.
For over 15 years INSA has been providing surgical treatment for movement disorders including Parkinsonson's disease and Essential tremor with deep brain stimulation (DBS
), the largest program outside Portland and Seattle.
Brain Aneurysms and arteriovenous malformations are treated by our physicians in collaboration with interventional radiology. We are the only regional center that treats ruptured brain aneurysms, either with surgical clipping or endovascular coiling.
